Ranjit Gupta

Amb Ranjit Gupta is a member of the Indian Foreign Service (retired), during his long tenure at the Ministry of External Affairs had served in Venezuela, Sultanate of Oman, Thailand, Taiwan and others in Ambassadorial capacity. He served successively in Cairo, New York (at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN), Gangtok (at the time of Sikkim’s accession to India) and other areas of strategic significance. Ranjit Gupta was a Member of the National Security Advisory Board till Nov 2010. He was the Director of the Workshop on “India GCC Relations” at the Annual Gulf Research Meeting at Cambridge University in July 2011 and of the Workshop on “India-Gulf strategic partnership in a pan-Asian cooperative paradigm” in July 2012.
