Reelpolitik | Assam: an inner landscape
Date : 26 Sep, 2017 Time : 1600-1800 hrs
IPCS is pleased to introduce Reelpolitik, a pioneering platform for the study of security issues through visual representation. Reelpolitik will showcase films that are closely interlinked with IPCS' research, followed by roundtable discussions on the subjects and concepts they cover. In so doing, it is hoped that the visual medium will give scholars and practitioners an insight into the extraordinary complexities that form the basis of strategic analyses, as well as expand these critical conversations to a wider audience of stakeholders. Launched on 26 September 2017, the first Reelpolitik discussed ethnic conflicts and violence in Assam over the past several decades through a screening of 'Assam: an inner landscape', followed by a discussion with director Pankaj Butalia.
